Peer Review Process
The Educational and Development follows a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure academic quality and integrity of all published papers. The process, developed by the Research Centre for Educational Innovation and Development (CERID), includes the following steps:
-
Call for Papers:
Manuscripts are collected following a public call for submissions. -
Initial Screening:
Each manuscript is screened to ensure it meets the journal’s format, structure, length, citation, referencing, and writing quality standards. Papers not meeting basic requirements are returned for correction before review. -
Coding and Anonymization:
Approved manuscripts are assigned a unique code, and the author’s name and affiliation are removed to maintain confidentiality. Only the title remains visible, ensuring blind review. -
Expert Review:
Coded manuscripts are sent to subject experts for review. Reviewers remain anonymous to the author and to anyone in the editorial office, except the Chief Editor authorized by the Publication Committee of CERID.
A peer review form is provided to reviewers, who give their detailed judgment, comments, and recommendations. Currently, each paper is reviewed by one expert, with a plan to implement a double-review system in upcoming issues. -
Editorial Decision:
The Editorial Board reviews the feedback from the expert(s) and decides whether the paper is:-
Accepted as it is,
-
Accepted with minor or major revisions, or
-
Rejected.
If revisions are required, the Chief Editor or an authorized editor meets with the author to discuss the reviewer’s comments and guide necessary improvements. The author then revises and resubmits the manuscript.
-
-
Language Editing:
All accepted manuscripts are thoroughly edited for language and clarity before publication to ensure professional and academic quality. -
Final Approval:
The finalized manuscripts are approved by the Editorial Board and prepared for printing and online publication.
